A mysterious gunslinger dressed entirely in black crosses the Brazilian wilderness dragging a coffin filled with valuable—and highly unusual—merchandise. On his way to make a deal in the lawless town of Santa Cruz das Almas, Papaco encounters rival bandits, dangerous women, a crooked undertaker, a heavily armed dwarf and seemingly endless opportunities for sex and violence. Produced in São Paulo’s legendary Boca do Lixo filmmaking district, A GUNMAN NAMED PAPACO transforms the spaghetti western into an outrageous bisexual pornochanchada. This filthy, foul-mouthed mutation of Django combines gunfights, broad comedy and hardcore XXX action with a brazenly borrowed Ennio Morricone score. Presented with newly translated English subtitles created especially for this screening. Please note: this film contains unsimulated sex.

Not the same tradition as the lineage above — a genuinely different thread to pull, if you want one.
