As part of the 10 year anniversary celebrations Heppleston Double Basses is proud to present a night of music with Max Lamprecht at 1901 Arts Club on the evening of Thursday 30 July 2026. Giovanni Bottesini Auld Robin Gray Valentina Ciardelli Sonata No.2 Giovanni Bottesini Fantasia on Bellini’s Beatrice di Tenda - interval - Astor Piazzolla Kicho Egberto Gismonti Cego Aderaldo Alexander Verster ' Grace' for double bass and piano Jan Bee Brown Folk song Max Lamprecht is a double bassist born in Austria. He studied at the City of Edinburgh Music School before continuing his training at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where he worked with Leon Bosch and Nikita Naumov. He is a member of the Sinfonia Smith Square Fellowship Orchestra, performing regularly as part of its concert series. Max performs as both a soloist and chamber musician, with an interest in performing new music aswell as enjoying the classics. In 2024, he gave the British premiere of the Walter Ross Concerto for Double Bass , performing on a double bass by Neal Heppleston.
