CATHY is a fierce, funny and deeply moving new play by Eilidh Loan, starring Elaine C. Smith as the indomitable Cathy. In the days following her husband’s funeral, a sharp-tongued, devout widow finds herself unmoored as grief collides with family tensions and long-buried truths. As Christmas approaches, Cathy must confront loss, faith and the terrifying question of how to carry on. Darkly comic and heartbreakingly honest, CATHY explores generational trauma, stubborn pride and unexpected hope - a bold, life-affirming story about survival, community and finding light in the darkest moments.
