Friday 7 August 2026 | 5pm - 6.30pm We’re non-professional dancers, no... we are amateur dancers, maybe we’re not even that, we’re outsider dancers, or movers, people that need to move and we know that if we move together... it can feel magic. Many Minds returns to the Royal West of England Academy with a new participatory performance created in response to Dance Out . Inspired by the artworks that resonate with us, and the exhibition’s portrayal of dance as a personal and social act we will transform the gallery space into a space of shared movement, feeling, and expression. ‘ It was really so awkward at first, and then there were these really exquisite moments where I felt like love or something. It was kind of interesting to see that not particularly confident dancers could do that together .’ - Miranda July Audiences are invited to encounter the gallery and exhibition in a new way, and move with us, in celebration of being together now, in connection and community. Created by Many Minds members with lived experience of mental ill-health and little to no dance experience. Entry requirements: no age restrictions (under 18s to be accompanied by an adult over 21yrs, 1:1 ratio, no dance experience necessary!) Access: We want our events to be as accessible as possible.
