On what would be his 172 birthday, join us for a day of exploring the life and work of Oscar Wilde. Expect access to rare archival and manuscript material, expert guest speakers and interactive workshops.This study day is for suitable A Level students who are studying Wilde’s texts, including The Importance of Being Earnest, A Picture of Dorian Gray and The Ballad of Reading Gaol. Students will be able to deepen their understanding of the texts and the context in which they were written, exploring topics such as the Aesthetic Movement, symbolism and censorship.Please note: teachers will be asked to provide the name/s of the text/s you are studying and indicate workshop preference, so we can ensure your visit best supports your students’ learninggroup size: Maximum 30 students per schoolsession times: 10.30 – 14.30Booking is essential via the 'Book Now' button.
